Aircraft Maintenance Technology

Become the specialist in maintaining, inspecting and repairing aircraft and helicopter mechanical components.

Learn to:

  • Maintain, inspect and repair aircraft and helicopter piston and turbine engines, landing gear, structures and hydraulic systems, keeping them airworthy and working on test benches;
  • Check, repair, replace or modify aircraft components;
  • Troubleshoot and write technical reports on aircraft. 

 

DCS Laptop program

The DCS Laptop program means that the student enrolled in this program must have a laptop computer and use it most of the time during class. Course notes and resources can be found online. École nationale d’aérotechnique is a francophone institution. Although the language of instruction for this program is English, all other services and activities will be offered in French. A bilingual advisor will be available to assist and advise students in English.

Want to do summer internships in a company? From your first semester, you can enroll in the work-study program (ATE) to complete two paid internships with participating aerospace companies. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AME)

Are you looking to take on more responsibility and advance in your future career? This program is recognized by Transport Canada and leads to an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Maintenance license (M rating).

This license, sought after by many companies, increases your employment and advancement opportunities as well as your salary. Holding a license will allow you to certify that an aircraft and/or equipment is airworthy.

Students who achieve an average of at least 70% on the theoretical portion of the major subjects and who have 5% or less absences from their courses can significantly reduce the length of the experience period required for the license and receive credit for several exams at Transport Canada.
